After Freddie Patek doubled to lead off the 10th inning, the next two batters flied out but Vada Pinson then came through with a run-scoring single to give the Royals a 6-5 victory over the Twins. Paul Schaal hit a two-run homer for the Royals and John Mayberry accounted for two RBIs with a homer and single.
