A hit batsman and passed ball in the 10th inning set up a run on a two-out single by Rich Coggins and gave the Orioles a 4-3 victory over the Angels. Don Baylor, leading off, was struck by a pitch thrown by Dave Sells and, after a passed ball by Andy Etchebarren, was on second with two away when Coggins delivered his winning hit.
