. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Dave Duncan climaxed a two-run, ninth-inning rally with a two-out RBI single to give the Indians a 3-2 victory over the Twins. The Tribe collected four singles in their comeback, the first by John Ellis kayoing starter Vic Albury. Charlie Spikes and Oscar Gamble followed with base hits off reliever Bill Campbell to tie the score.

Duncan capped the rally with a ground single over third to make a winner of Steve Kline, who went the distance in his first Cleveland start since being obtained from the Yankees. Harmon Killebrew staked Albury, making his first major league start, to a 2-0 lead in the first with his 548th career homer following a single by Steve Braun. The Indians' first run came in the seventh on a solo homer by George Hendrick, his third in two days. [The Sporting News]
