Enzo Hernandez singled in the sixth inning, moved to second on a balk, stole third and scored on a double by Derrel Thomas to give the Padres a 2-1 victory over the Expos. Singles by Tim Foli and Willie Davis, together with an error by Bill Greif, produced the Expos' run in the first. The Padres tied the score in the home half.
