Making his second major league start, Dave Freisleben gained his second straight victory for the Padres, pitching a four-hitter to defeat the Expos, 5-1. The rookie righthander also doubled in the third for his first major league hit to spark a four-run inning. Singles by Derrel Thomas and Matty Alou scored Freisleben.
