. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Gaining his first victory in a Pirates' uniform, Jerry Reuss scattered eight hits and beat the Braves, 4-2. The Pirates scored all their runs in the third inning. Reuss drew a walk from Roric Harrison and scored on a double by Richie Hebner and infield out by Al Oliver. Willie Stargell doubled to drive in Hebner. Dave Parker tripled, sending Stargell home, and then scored himself on a wild pitch. Rowland Office batted in both Braves' runs with a double in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
