Frank Tanana yielded only three hits in 8 2/3 innings, but the Angels had to call on two relievers to get the final out in a 2-0 victory over the Orioles. Bob Oliver and Tommy McCraw hit homers to account for the Angels' runs. In the ninth, Bobby Grich drew a walk from Tanana. With two out, Don Baylor singled. After Tanana threw two balls to Brooks Robinson, Dick Selma came in and completed the pass to load the bases.
