The White Sox exploded for seven runs in the third inning and Wilbur Wood breezed from there to a 10-3 victory over the Brewers. The White Sox opened their big stanza with a run on singles by Buddy Bradford, Carlos May and Dick Allen. After a walk to Bill Melton loaded the bases, Ron Santo drove in two runs with a single. Ken Henderson singled to produce another tally before Brian Downing capped the outburst with a three-run homer. The Brewers scored on circuit clouts by Don Money, Johnny Briggs and Bobby Mitchell.
