The White Sox gained their fourth straight victory and 10th in their last 13 games by defeating the Brewers, 4-2, behind the combined five-hit pitching of Stan Bahnsen and Terry Forster. The White Sox opened with two runs in the first inning on a walk to Pat Kelly, double by Carlos May and single by Dick Allen. Ken Henderson hit homers in the fourth and ninth to account for the other pair. Bahnsen pitched five innings before leaving the game with pulled a hamstring in his right thigh. [The Sporting News]
