The Orioles tied an A. L. record when all nine of their batters had two or more hits apiece in a 9-3 victory over the Athletics. Paul Blair led way with four hits and Enos Cabell collected three. Seven others had two each in the Orioles' 21-hit attack, which included a homer by Bobby Grich and double by Brooks Robinson as the only extra-base blows. Deron Johnson had a homer for the A's.
