Bill Lee yielded only five hits and pitched the Red Sox to a 4-0 victory in the lefthander's second triumph over the Yankees this season and sixth without a defeat for his career. The Red Sox nicked Mel Stottlemyre for a run in the second inning when Juan Beniquez walked, stole second and scored on a single by Dick McAuliffe. Their other runs followed in the third on a single by Carl Yastrzemski with the bases loaded and a safe bunt by Dwight Evans. [The Sporting News]
