A homer by Bernie Carbo in the seventh inning broke up a scoreless duel between Luis Tiant and Pat Dobson and sent the Red Sox on their way to a 2-0 victory over the Yankees. The Red Sox picked up another run after Carbo's clout on a single by Juan Beniquez and double by Dick McAuliffe.
