Lenny Randle and Jeff Burroughs each drove in a run for a 2-1 lead before the Rangers pulled away with another pair in the sixth inning on a double by Toby Harrah, triple by Randle and squeeze bunt by Joe Lovitto. Two more runs counted in the seventh. Alex Johnson scored on a single by Mike Hargrove and Burroughs crossed the plate on a wild pitch.
