Mike Cuellar pitched a two-hitter and gained his fifth straight complete-game victory when the Orioles defeated the Yankees, 5-1. Paul Blair rapped three hits including a homer, and Don Baylor also connected for the circuit in the Orioles' support of their veteran lefthander. The only run off Cuellar counted in the fifth inning on a walk to Graig Nettles and double by Fernando Gonzalez. [The Sporting News]
