A three-run homer by Ron Cey proved the difference as the Dodgers defeated the Cardinals, 5-2. The Cards held a 2-1 lead before Steve Garvey and Joe Ferguson singled in the sixth inning to set the stage for Cey's smash off Bob Gibson.
