Bob Boone led off with a homer in the third inning and Mike Schmidt hit for the circuit with two men on base to account for all of the Phillies' runs in a 4-2 victory over the Braves. After Boone's first boundary belt of the season, Dave Cash and Larry Bowa singled and Schmidt followed with his 12th homer of the year. One of the Braves' runs off Jim Lonborg was unearned and the other came on a round-tripper by Davey Johnson. [The Sporting News]
