The first homer of John D'Acquisto's major league career provided a highlight for the rookie righthander, who pitched the Giants to a 6-2 victory over the Pirates. The Giants stepped out with two runs in the first inning on singles by Chris Speier and Steve Ontiveros and a double by Ed Goodson.
