A grand-slam homer by Mike Lum in the fourth inning powered the Braves to a 5-3 victory over the Expos. Dusty Baker walked and Hank Aaron and Davey Johnson singled to set the stage for Lum's drive off Steve Rogers. The Expos, who had scored a run in the third, closed the gap in the sixth when Bob Stinson walked with the bases loaded and Jim Cox hit a sacrifice fly.
