Mickey Lolich, who started off this season by losing his first four decisions, squared his record at 7-7 by pitching the Tigers to a 7-0 victory over the Rangers. Ed Brinkman, Al Kaline and Aurelio Rodriguez hit homers in the Tigers' support of their veteran lefthander. Brinkman's blow accounted for the first run in the third inning. Kaline connected in the fourth and the Tigers went on to score four more runs on a single by Bill Freehan, double by Jerry Moses, single by Rodriguez, two walks and a single by Gary Sutherland.
