. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Consecutive homers by John Mayberry and Hal McRae in the fifth inning produced the Royals' tying and winning runs in a 4-3 victory over the Tigers. McRae batted in the Royals' initial run with a double in the first. The Tigers collected six of their eight hits off Steve Busby in the first three innings and took a 3-1 lead, but the Royals pulled within one run in the fourth on a scoring single by George Brett.
