. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Cesar Tovar and Toby Harrah batted in five runs between them to lead the Rangers to a 7-2 victory over the Brewers. Harrah knocked in the Rangers' first run with a single in the fourth inning. A double by Lenny Randle, sacrifice by Jim Sundberg and squeeze bunt by Cesar Tovar added a tally in the fifth.

The Rangers then clinched the outcome with three runs in the sixth. Jeff Burroughs doubled, advanced on an infield out and scored on a sacrifice fly by Harrah. Two walks around a single by Randle loaded the bases with two out and Tovar then singled, driving in two runs. Jim Bibby, who pitched 5 1/3 innings, received credit for his ninth victory, matching the righthander's entire 1973 total. Steve Foucault, who relieved Bibby, picked up his sixth save.
