. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Doubles by Oscar Gamble and George Hendrick and homers by Jack Brohamer and Dave Duncan accounted for the Indians' runs in a 5-1 victory over the Twins. Gamble's two-bagger, following singles by Brohamer and Charlie Spikes, produced two runs in the first inning. John Lowenstein and Spikes singled and Hendrick doubled for a run in the third. Brohamer hit his homer in the fourth and Duncan in the sixth.

Steve Kline, who started for the Indians, allowed only three hits before leaving the mound with a pulled muscle in his right shoulder after six innings. Fred Beene finished. The Twins' run in the fifth was unearned on an error by Ed Crosby, a wild pitch and single by Steve Braun. [The Sporting News]
