Jim Kaat gained the 200th victory of his major league career with the backing of six homers by the White Sox, who defeated the Indians, 7-3. Jorge Orta and Dick Allen each hit two homers, while Carlos May and Ken Henderson added one apiece. George Hendrick rapped a pair for the Indians. The victory was Kaat's sixth of the season and 10th with the White Sox since being acquired from the Twins in August, 1973.
