. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Bobby Grich became the first Baltimore player to hit three homers in one game at Memorial Stadium as the Orioles trounced the Twins, 10-1. Grich all hit his homers in consecutive times at bat, starting with a three-run blow off Joe Decker in the second inning. After adding a solo shot off Decker in the fifth, Grich tagged Tom Burgmeier for a two-run drive in the seventh. Tommy Davis also homered for the Orioles. [The Sporting News]
