A loser of eight previous decisions over three seasons, Andy Hassler gained the first victory of his major league career when the Angels broke loose with a 17-hit attack to defeat the Rangers, 10-2. Hassler allowed three hits before his arm stiffened, forcing his removal with one out in the eighth inning. Skip Lockwood finished.
