Catfish Hunter joined the ranks of the league's 10-game winners by pitching the Athletics to a 6-1 victory over the Angels. The defeat was the 11th for Frank Tanana, who leads the league in losses. Sal Bando drove in two runs with a double in the third inning and Gene Tenace homered in the fifth to lead the A's attack.
