. . . where the 1970s live forever!
A three-run homer by Dave Concepcion in the fourth inning lifted the Reds to a 6-3 victory over the Braves. The Reds scored twice in the first on singles by Cesar Geronimo and Johnny Bench and double by Tony Perez. The Braves struck back with three runs in their half of the first on doubles by Rowland Office and Darrell Evans, single by Mike Lum, pass to Dusty Baker and single by Davey Johnson.

However in the fourth, Perez and Dan Driessen walked and, after Merv Rettenmund forced Driessen, Concepcion smashed his homer. Concepcion also scored the Reds' last run, drawing a walk in the sixth and completing his journey on a sacrifice and single by Pete Rose. [The Sporting News]
