Posting his third shutout of the season, Mike Cuellar pitched the Orioles to a 3-0 victory over the Yankees. Cuellar allowed six hits, while the Orioles won with only four off Rudy May. Two of their runs scored in the third inning when Jim Fuller was safe on an error by Bill Sudakis, Paul Blair doubled, Bobby Grich hit a sacrifice fly and Tommy Davis singled.
