With two out, the Indians erupted for four runs in the second inning and defeated the Brewers, 5-3. After John Ellis led off with a single the next two batters were retired, but Oscar Gamble singled, Dave Duncan walked and one run scored on a wild pitch by Kevin Kobel. Frank Duffy then singled, driving in two runs. Taking second on the throw to the plate, Duffy also scored on a single by Buddy Bell. George Hendrick accounted for the Indians' last tally with a homer in the seventh. Brewers' scoring included a circuit clout by Don Money. [The Sporting News]
