Ross Grimsley pitched a five-hitter and gained his 10th victory when the Orioles defeated the Athletics, 3-0. Brooks Robinson put Grimsley ahead with a homer in the second inning. After the Orioles picked up another run on a double by Andy Etchebarren and single by Mark Belanger in the fifth, Paul Blair capped the scoring with a homer in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
