. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Indians smashed three homers in one inning and posted a 6-2 victory over the Angels, who went down to a seventh straight defeat under Dick Williams as their new manager. John Ellis led off the eighth with the Indians' first homer to break a 2-2 tie. One out later, George Hendrick also hit for the circuit to kayo Frank Tanana, who suffered his 13th defeat. After Skip Lockwood relieved, Buddy Bell singled and Oscar Gamble homered to climax the Indians' slugging outburst. [The Sporting News]
