Allowing only three hits, Catfish Hunter retired the last 18 batters in order while pitching the Athletics to a 7-0 victory over the Indians. Joe Rudi batted in three of the A's first four runs with a pair of singles. The other tallies followed in the seventh on a homer by Pat Bourque and two-run single by Reggie Jackson.
