Dick Williams was banished in an argument with the umpires in the third inning and, as a result, was not around to watch the Angels finish losing to the Orioles, 9-1, for their 11th straight defeat and 10th in a row under their new manager's guidance. Boog Powell batted in four runs for the Orioles with a homer and single. Rich Coggins also hit a homer and single to account for two RBIs. The Angels, who were held to six hits by Ross Grimsley, counted their lone run in the ninth on singles by Mickey Rivers and Dave Chalk and an error by Bobby Grich. [The Sporting News]
