. . . where the 1970s live forever!

With two out and one man on base, the Twins came to life and scored four runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Indians, 5-2. With the Indians in the lead, 2-1, Eric Soderholm walked in the seventh and was forced by Jim Holt. Glenn Borgmann flied out, but Tony Oliva walked and Rod Carew singled, driving in Holt to tie the score. Steve Braun singled and Jerry Terrell, running for Oliva, crossed the plate to put the Twins ahead. Larry Hisle then applied the finishing touch with a double that produced a pair of clinching tallies. [The Sporting News]
