. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Dick Bosman pitched a no-hitter for the Indians in a 4-0 victory over the Athletics, but the righthander deprived himself of a perfect game with a throwing error that allowed Sal Bando to reach base in the fourth inning. The Indians scored two runs in the third on a single by Tommy McCraw and homer by Joe Lis. Their two other runs registered in the fourth. John Ellis singled and scored on a double by Buddy Bell, who took third on the throw to the plate and counted on an infield out by McCraw. [The Sporting News]
