. . . where the 1970s live forever!

In a game that saw two brothers pitch against each other, Bob Forsch hurled the Cardinals to a 9-1 victory over the Astros, who used Ken Forsch as one of their relievers. Bob scattered eight hits and gave up the Astros' lone run in the first inning on a double by Cesar Cedeno and single by Bob Watson. Ken worked the last two innings and yielded four hits and three runs, one run coming on an inside-the-park homer by Jose Cruz. The Cardinals also had a homer by Ken Reitz off Larry Dierker, who was the Astros' starter and loser. [The Sporting News]
