Woodie Fryman pitched a one-hitter and Norm Cash drove in both of the Tigers' runs in a 2-0 victory over the Brewers. Fryman, who made his first appearance since July 19, was deprived of a no-hitter when Bobby Mitchell singled with two out in the seventh inning. Cash homered in the second and singled home Ben Oglivie, who had tripled, in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
