The Angels bunched four hits for three runs in the fourth inning and defeated the Twins, 3-2, in a game stopped by rain with one out in the top half of the seventh. In the fourth, Rudy Meoli doubled and Frank Robinson, Bruce Bochte and Bobby Valentine singled to produce the Angels' runs. Bobby Darwin homered in the Twins' half of the fourth and their other run scored in the fifth when Glenn Borgmann was safe on an error, Eric Soderholm sacrificed and Larry Hisle singled.
