Hitless in 15 trips, Willie Davis broke out of his slump with a homer in the third inning and the game-winning single for the Expos in the ninth to defeat the Phillies, 3-2. After Davis' homer in the third, Bob Bailey also hit a round-tripper for the Expos in the sixth. The Phillies came back with a circuit clout by Jay Johnstone in the seventh and tied the score in the eighth when Larry Bowa tripled and Mike Schmidt singled. [The Sporting News]
