Homers by Earl Williams and Paul Blair enabled Mike Cuellar to pitch the Orioles to a 2-1 victory over the White Sox in a duel with Jim Kaat. The White Sox spoiled Cuellar's shutout bid in the seventh inning when Ron Santo and Brian Downing walked and Pat Kelly, running for Santo, scored on a single by Buddy Bradford.
