The Brewers put together five singles for three runs in the third inning to start on their way to a 5-2 victory over the Angels. Bruce Bochte homered with a man on base for the Angels in the first. Tim Johnson started the Brewers' rally with a single in the third. Then after an out, singles by Dave May, Don Money, Charlie Moore and George Scott put the Brewers ahead.

Their last two tallies counted in the eighth. Deron Johnson walked. Bobby Mitchell ran for him, stole second and scored on a single by Bob Coluccio. After a single by Tim Johnson and a walk loaded the bases, Money drove in the last run with an infield hit. [The Sporting News]
