Ron Bryant won his first game since May 31 as the Giants snapped a tie in the ninth inning on Dave Kingman's RBI double and went on to defeat the Pirates, 5-3. A walk, sacrifice and Kingman's double broke a 3-3 tie, and Bryant drove home an insurance run with a two-out single to lock up only his third victory in 15 decisions.
