The Orioles put together three of their hits with a sacrifice fly for two runs in the second inning and defeated the Rangers, 2-1. Don Baylor singled, stole second and counted the first run on a double by Brooks Robinson. After Elrod Hendricks singled Robinson to third, Mark Belanger lofted a sacrifice fly to plate what proved to be the deciding run.
