Roy White, who got into the Yankees' lineup because Lou Piniella came down with a sore throat, seized the opportunity and rapped a homer, triple and two singles to lead the way to a 10-4 victory over the Angels. White tripled and scored in the first inning, homered with a man on base in the fourth and knocked in two more runs with a single in the fifth.
