After Bobby Grich batted in two runs with a bases-loaded double in the seventh inning, the Orioles added a run on an error by George Brett to defeat the Royals, 3-2. Enos Cabell and Andy Etchebarren singled and Paul Blair walked to fill the sacks. Blair forced Cabell at the plate before Grich came through with his two-bagger. Blair then scored from third base when Brett erred on a grounder by Earl Williams. However, Williams was given credit for an RBI and the run was ruled earned. [The Sporting News]
