Harmon Killebrew slammed his 558th career homer, a two-run pinch-hit blast in the eighth, to wipe out a 1-0 White Sox lead and help the Twins to a 3-1 victory. Steve Braun followed the Killebrew blast with a solo homer to account for the final Minnesota run. Loser Bart Johnson carried a two-hit shutout into the eighth. Chicago reached Dave Goltz for its only run in the fourth on a single by Bucky Dent, sacrifice by Jorge Orta and single by Ken Henderson. [The Sporting News]
