. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Posting his first shutout of the season, Vic Albury breezed to an 8-0 victory over the White Sox after the Twins scored six runs in the first inning. Steve Braun and Rod Carew opened with singles, but two were out when Braun scored on a wild pitch by Stan Bahnsen.

After a walk to Bobby Darwin, Eric Soderholm singled to drive in Carew. Pat Bourque walked to load the bases. Bill Sharp dropped a line drive by Danny Thompson, allowing two runs to cross the plate. Another scored when Glenn Borgmann was safe on an error by Bill Melton. Braun, up for a second time, singled to add the sixth run of the stanza. [The Sporting News]
