Terry Crowley delivered a pinch-single to start the Reds' outburst in the 10th. Dan Driessen walked and Pete Rose beat out a bunt to load the bases. Concepcion grounded to Roger Metzger, but Milt May failed to tag the plate on the throw home, allowing Ed Armbrister to score as the pinch-runner for Crowley.
