Doug Rau limited the Astros to two singles in upping his record to 4-1 as the Dodgers defeated Houston, 2-0. Los Angeles scored their first run in the first inning on Willie Crawford's double, two walks and a sacrifice fly by Rob Cey. Singles by Jim Wynn, Steve Garvey and Joe Ferguson got the final run home in the third. A second-inning single by Doug Rader and third-inning base hit by loser Larry Dierker were the only Astro hits.
