Willie Davis, who tied the score with a two-run homer in the seventh inning, singled in the ninth for his fourth hit of the game to lift the Rangers to a 5-3 victory over the Royals. A homer by John Mayberry helped the Royals take a 3-1 lead before Jim Sundberg singled and Davis knotted the count with his round-tripper.
